Im still trying to figure out how the advent of streaming cannibalizes that stuff at all. Whatever demand there is is still there, it just takes parties smart enough to offer it big or small, and they will for that piece of the pie. If anything it should be a ton more accessible. While its true that you may not get someone huge like AMC to basically subsidize small productions. Again I think someone could fill that void. Maybe Im an optimistic fool.

I was going off your original comment of wanting theaters to close in general, so mine are assuming there aren’t theaters period in the scenario. And then imagining how individual films make money or get funded gets a lot murkier. If you just meant big chains closing then that’s a very different story.

So the PF Chang’s I work at is literally across the street from my old Cinemark and the parking situation here is absolutely awful. You either need to pay for metered parking or pay $30 a month to get daily parking in the large parking structure. Thankfully, Cinemark paid for us to park the in the structure. Welp, I’m over a month out from Cinemark and my card still works which means they’re still paying. Get fucked. I don’t expect this to last forever but for now I will cherish it.
