True, my experience is anecdotal, just saying it's not necessarily as bad as people like to build up. My only issue is it's a dry cold and since moving to CA, I'm not used to that as much and it cracks my skin.

Anyone can get into anime if you accept the fact that it's weird and can go to some creepy places if you don't pay attention to what you're watching. Haha, I was a little wheezy when I visited my parents the first year they moved there, but haven't had issues with any of the subsequent visits. Everyone's different, so it's hard to gauge how people will react.
