Question: How does someone look for a real job? I have like 4 years managerial experience and soon I’ll have a degree. I know that doesn’t guarantee anything but hopefully the combination of two would be enough to get me something decent? Or am I naive? I’ve spent a lot of money on this whole college thing

Just sort of happened. I applied to anything that sounded remotely interesting and within my qualifications. While I am sort of doing what I want to be doing, I didn't plan it.

One tactic I found worked well for at least landing interviews: skipping cover letters entirely. Like if I wasn't forced to, I didn't bother. They're a waste and I snagged a surprising amount of interviews doing this.
