I'm just stating facts. Sucks that a lot of people with majors like that can't get jobs they are passionate about.

 

Taylor Swift was born where I live and people here love to hate her. It's insane. She gets some news coverage because she's a native to our area and the comments are always extremely nasty and unnecessary.

 

She's problematic but leaving Pennsylvania isn't why lol

 

Is she that problematic? I don't follow her. The comments have nothing to do with her leaving Pennsylvania, they're mostly insults without any justification.

Intersectionalism in feminism should include discussion of class and race too because if a white woman views feminism as a certain thing, it's from her perspective and will (because of our own personal biases and often blinders wrt the experiences of others not like ourselves) leave out issues that may be important to other groups that need their voices lifted up.

 

No I know what intersectional feminism is...was just wondering if there were specific examples.

 

It's funny that I can go on facebook and local news websites and see why people hate her and it's 100% the opposite of why people dislike her here, haha.

 

She deff just views feminism through a lens of lifting up women and not through the lens of actually needing to deconstruct the entire patriarchal system that runs our society

 

Oh sorry I completely misread what you wrote lol. I don't really have specific examples but everything about TS is always about....TS which can be frustrating to witness because even when she's on the right side of things it's always through her own personal lens/struggles when there are many women, especially trans/woc/etc. whose voices are left out and she doesn't do a good enough job of including them in the narrative imo.
