It’s okay. Like my dad is responsible for a number of things I love in my life: Movies, music, video games, comedy, horror and sci fi, etc. When times are good, I can talk to him about those things and share them. I learned how to be charming to strangers through him, hell I got Dani just doing what my dad does on the first date.

However, my dad is basically Jekyll and Hyde. The good times are good and the bad times are pretty bad. He was abusive growing up, physically and verbally. I still deal with a lot of it to this day. He’s apologized for this over the years but our relationship is strained because of it, I don’t think I’ll ever have a normal relationship with him because of it. I try so hard to be a good parent to Nora despite my situation because I want to be the dad I wanted growing up and not be like him.

 

Just keep on fighting the good fight against the darker nature of your family and raise Nora well. I believe!

We got a surprise visit from corporate which is never a good sign. They came in, asked to speak to two of our cashiers, and then fired them because they intervened in a customer theft which we are not allowed to do since Lowe’s can get sued.
