Looking forward to the moment when Mitch gives Nick shit about him being the one who's guesting on the Smart Guys episode
Wolf parade is an insane get. But Demi Lardner for fart guys, I’m not sure there could be a better person for that lol. That should be chaos.
I have spent a good chunk of the last six months catching up on Guys and also becoming a major Krughead, so this works out nicely
I have to stop listening when the loss prevention guy comes on. I just physically cannot listen to his stories.
I saw the new Led Zeppelin doc tonight and Robert Plant gives credit to a handful of black artists. Can't wait to hear Nolan yell about it when he finally makes a video in 8 months.
Haven't listened yet but I feel like Bill Hicks is just one of those cases where the material hasn't particularly aged well. He was someone (like Carlin) that I got into right when I started getting into stand-up, and it kind of blew my mind (but I was also very young, like early teens). I don't think anything he says is particularly that deep or funny now, but there was definitely a reason people latched onto him. All this to say, I don't think he was a hack or anything.
Yeah, I don’t think he was a hack. He’s no Denis Leary. I just never thought he was funny. That style of nihilistic, cynical, “Everything in culture sucks” type of thing was never my thing, outside of maybe Lewis Black.
This month’s “P.O.D. Kast” is pretty good. They review Bloodhound Gang’s “One Fierce Coaster” - a truly vile album.
Their motto was “no reason to live but we like it that way”. Truly a nihilistic band of the highest order. Hooray For Boobies came out when I was 13 which was the perfect age for that type of entertainment. Of course it’s aged horribly lol
Absolutely. If you’re over the age of 18 listening to Bloodhound Gang, all hope is lost. Also, totally makes sense they’re from King of Prussia.
