Yea this album really blew me away.

I hope the super rough opening vocal doesn’t turn people away.

Another thing, this album is sort of what I wish tiny moving parts actually was when I listen to it.

Finally, I’m on my third listen but this may be my surprise release of the year that ends up really high on my eoty list

yup that middle segment is definitely a highlight. those interludes divide the album up nicely into 3 parts.

an obvious influence is You Blew It! as well. I'm hearing that all over this thing, a bit more mathy but vocally a lot of similarities.

always great when bands can do the dads sound better than dads while not being horrible people!

nah this is straight algernon/snowing/glocca/etc worship haha

  18. i really like the first interlude. i used to think it'd be cool to start a band that was 90s emo influenced guitars over postal service beats. so it's cool that they pretty much did just that on that first interlude especially.

Oh absolutely ha, I just meant vocally it reminds me of the second you blew it lp a bit just with the rasp and held out notes. But yea they were probably both pulling from those same bands.

david (their bassist) has put out some electronic solo stuff as well

also his label has a ton of math rock/emo stuff, all of it is great, Stack Your Roster
