I pretty much agree, my BB is great for a Marshall-esque growl and the FD2 is perfect in the comp cut mode to add some brilliance and compression (EP and Hoof are very "as needed"). I'm most likely getting rid of this amp though, I haven't gigged in quite some time and it's just a little too much for an apartment.
Im trying to finalize my pedalboard plans. found this website called pedal playground. just need to acquire the boards and the Canyon. the plan is to have the back row a double decker and tuck the three pedals below under there (compressor, amp sim, speaker sim/headphone amp).
*my wife voice* my board. i don’t tour anymore and swap stuff out a bunch so apologies for the messy cables.
did a video going through my pedalboard and studio gear this week, since i haven't been able to walk with an injury and didn't want to do a more song-based video
Man, I've been itching for a Lightspeed lately. A Youtuber I follow praises it as his favorite and it seems like a gem. I've entered the dark rabbit hole of looking to build a few pedals. Maybe a few drives, tremolo or something. Debating pretty hard...
kinda looking for a pedal(s), but not really sure what it is i'm looking for. I'm trying to get close to the solo in this song: (starts around 1:48) I don't really know where to start to generate something like that. i've got overdrive/reverb going into a fender mustang, which has a few simulated amp options.
Would that be a momentary whammy pedal increasing the pitch? I’m not too sure but that’d be my guess.
Got a Digitech Obscura delay last night. Great price and I had heard good things. MAN is the pedal great. Within 2-3 minutes of playing I had dialed in a great delay sound and after another 10 minutes or so I had a great reverse loop going without almost no effort. Really happy with it. Can't wait to stack it the Particle pedal and see what happens.
Idk, I feel like it’s a really creative pedal and could inspire a lot. But I see what you’re saying. A lot of pedals fall into that category annoyingly. Makes them feel like expensive toys.
just picked up a jext telez canyon climber and a 1981 inventions drv with some reverb bucks i had stockpiled. can’t wait to let them rip.
Hm smallsound/bigsound Buzzz, Fuzz War or Fuzz Factory...hm hm I'm torn, all roughly same price with pro's and con's. But I really want a "good" fuzz pedal.
My buddy has a fuzz war and that thing is awesome. Edit: Especially when he pairs it with their reverberation machine
Yeah, everything I've heard of it is awesome. There's a shop near me with the Fuzz War and Fuzz Factory, so I may go over one of these coming days and play the two side by side. A part of me thinks I'll just utilize a Buzzz more in my daily playing.
The Reverberation Machine is one of my fav pedals. Love is an understatement. Smallsound all the way. I kinda just don’t dig ZVEX stuff for the most part. I also have an Instant Lofi and I think it kinda sounds broken but not intentionally? Like it clips the beginning of the note in a real undesirable way. Very distracting. Use a Shallow Water in its place now mostly.
