They’re so interesting! But right now I’ve got three reverb pedals. I can’t haha. Let me know how it is though. It sounds gorgeous! And odd! Which I dig. Most of my pedal purchases start with ‘how weird can it get’ haha. With fuzz I always just find it to be that slightest bit too offensive. I tried an Algal Bloom as I was told that’s like the perfect fuzz for people who hate fuzz - can dial it more of a garage drive kinda thing, with tons of tweakability. But I have that covered really.
It’s a jazz master body but has a p90 in the bridge. So technically not a jazz master lol. I got it built by Ben nystrum. The Journey: Nystrum Guitars - Porter Pickups
As I am only a living room player, board real estate isn't a concern for me as much. I more tinker and experiment. I did not. Sold some gear and wanted a granular delay. Got a great price on a used V1 so I took it. The V2 does have some nice features though...
I saw their VHS-style delay pedal and it sounded brill. They’re supposedly built to a real high standard.
Finally being reunited with some of my pedals. Since moving to Japan I haven’t had my guitars or boards. My family are visiting and are bringing me my Volca Fm synth and two pedals that were off my boards - the Boss RV-6 (which I adore but didn’t use as I have the Chase Bliss Dark World) and the Instant Lofi Junky. Can’t wait to get back into making music again. Even if it is with a tiny synth in my room.
Reverb woes: this shop on Reverb has had an open box of one of the not so popular Strymon pedals since 2014, and they dont want to sell it for anything less than the price straight from the manufacturer. Reverb says its worth $160 and theyre trying to get the $300 for it lmao
lmao, yeah, i tend to buy off there only from individuals. no reason to use that site for a retailer imo.
imagine having inventory that you never intend on moving sitting behind glass for 5 years Strymon tho bro
Im thinking about bolting 2 pt nano + boards together top to bottom. the jr and the metros are too deep.
excited to peep the EQD plumes. seems like a true tube screamer clone from them as opposed to the palisades which is kinda its own thing
I really want a Walrus Audio Slo.... Been itching for a reverb that I can really sink into. Been feeling limited with the Katana's options.
Anyone else have a Walrus Messner? I've owned mine for about a year and I just can't seem to get it to mesh with my amp (AC30), my other gain stages (EP, BB Preamp, Fulldrive 2, and an Earthquaker Hoof) or any of my guitars. Also got this a few months back from Chicago Music Exchange:
great looking guitar. personally, i had an ac15 and the only drives that i could get to work with it were ones with a bass boost or that had their own character altogether. transparent drives or, worse off, treble boosters dont work at all with vox circuits imo
eh. maybe. it might just be that i never bonded with my vox and prefer fender and marshall style sounds. amp always was super trebly and icepick-y to me
