Has anyone tried SS/BS Buzzz? Love my Mini and the demos have me intrigued. Want to replace my fuzz, tempted to go Fuzz War again (not clone) but not sure.
I'm so torn between do I want the extreme simplicity and power of Fuzz War or the optons/tweekability of Buzzz. Buzzz seems like it can be used in a more...ambient or melodic setting which the Fuzz War really can't, so that's my biggest push towards Buzzz.
the thing with Strats is not enough people use the middle only position and not enough people wire them for bridge + neck a lot of more modern players wanna put a bucker in the bridge and that fixes a lot of those people’s issues with them but I’ve never come across a guitar with more tones or that is more moldable they’re also even a better “offset” than Jaguars or Jazzmasters
I almost always play with the middle pickup/position, and I often get the impression that other players think it's weird lol
Yeah it's great clean, probably even best choice for that, but I also really like it distorted, just gets me a little bit of a warmer tone that's just easier on my ears a bit
I feel like too many people juat picture a dad rock band playing covers when they think of strats and they can definitely be way more versatile than that
i got converted to strats a year or 2 ago. i love the similar clarity and tuning stability they have to teles but are a little more comfortable imo. i know some ppl think its heinous to have a humbucker in the bridge of a strat or w/e. i dont necessarily agree and i play w/ warmer mid rangey tones w some gain most of the time but i also dont want to miss out on that distinct single coily sound of a strat. so i got a sss strat and a hss strat best of both worlds lol.
idk I get the bucker in the bridge thing for others. that’s just not what I play. you can split the coil and all that and have both. its all a cool idea. I swear the floating bridge thing with the springs makes the tone of a Strat really beautiful and unique.
Rats are great. I’ve had two or three over the years, and even tho each one looked subtlety different, they all sounded exactly alike
that’s similar with modern pedals. the 80s ones actually sound different pedal to pedal depending on what chip is or isn’t included
never owned a rat but it’s almost like there’s zero reason not to own one guess I’ll pick one up eventually
