No one really cares about MCU vs DC except incel fans

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if, given the pre-established relationship between Feige and Gunn, it helps to eventually push the inevitable DC/Marvel crossover event that I figured would happen at some point anyway.

Word on the street is that Gunn pushed for this very thing.

I'm only interested if it means we can get Access.

It would be incredibly difficult just because of the thin line the writers would need to walk to not upset DC or Marvel fans.

Definitely would need to avoid DC vs Marvel and just have them meet

If Cap or someone sucker punched Superman and he moved an inch then we’ll have riots

Well in the comic, Superman faced the Hulk, which makes more sense on a power level. Cap fought Batman.

I’m the comics Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman also agreed to have Captain America (Steve) lead both the Justice League and Avengers for a short time. That’s what I would want to see.

As much as I would love a DC/Marvel crossover film to happen I feel like it's going to get tangled up in property holders.

    - DC will probably not want to entrust their characters to Marvel Studios; would Marvel be willing to go in on a co-production deal?
    - Do they agree on a writer and director?
    - Do they agree on a box office split?

etc etc. The same problem boxing has had for many years

Gunn expressed last year about an interest and he stated that he believes both studios would be willing once the time is right

I could see in 5-10 years if the marvel movies start making less and less money. But until then why would they want to help DC?

Because fans would love it? Honestly, this multiverse saga would be the perfect opportunity.

    thank u, next Supporter

With the current corporate climate, we almost certainly will not get a Marvel/DC crossover, unless the properties somehow have a catastrophic decline in value over the next decade. (Or, if the Warner Bros Discovery mess keeps getting messier, and Disney gets away with buying some of that IP.)

They haven’t even gotten a comics crossover done, with the biggest creators pushing for it, in more than a decade and a half, and there’s a lot less money in that than the movies. It was a minor miracle that the companies let the Hero Initiative nonprofit do a very limited reprint of Avengers/JLA as a tribute to the then-terminally-ill George Pérez.

yeah Roger Rabbit was only able to happen because Disney and WB were in a commercial nadir right before bouncing back a few years later

With Gunn wanting a DC and Marvel film, expressing that he believes both studios are open to it, and now being the co-CEO with a fantastic relationship with Feige, I see the odds of it happening increase from 2% to 8%

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

think i straight up disliked that, first 20 minutes were honestly painful imo. Mantis/Peter scene saved it marginally

All of the Kevin Bacon scenes were good, Drax was funny, and Mantis had some good moments.

I’m happy with it. Fun to see Cosmo, too.

Holiday Special was fine. Very ok with just a fun little adventure before Vol. 3 which, if Gunn is to be believed, is gonna be rough

Yeah. He's very much making it seem like at least one member of the team (almost certainly Rocket) is gonna die.
