If High Evolutionary is still alive, then just make him a variant of Kang and have Iwuji replace Majors.

Watched v2 over the weekend - what a wonderful film. A lot of the qualms that I thought I had weren’t really present on rewatch, and it really flew by. Can probably say the whole trilogy is in my top 10 MCU films (that sounds ridiculous lol)

It’s hard for me to choose between Cap and Guardians. Each film is better than the one before it when it comes to those two.

I think I’m more partial not because of how good of the movies are, but he themes and mode that GOTG are working with connects with me on an emotional level more

It’s been really cool to see James Gunn grow as a blockbuster genre filmmaker from Guardians 1 to 2 to Suicide Squad to this. Dude really has a distinct approach that lines up so very well with my tastes & interests.

I’m very excited to see what he brings to the themes, iconography, and lore of Superman. If you showed me just Sliver and the first Guardians and said that was his next project, I’d be puzzled, but with a fuller look at his work it really is a next natural step for him. It’ll probably be great for his continued evolution, and also great for that overbearingly iconic and debated cultural touchstone.

It’d also be nice if someday he decided to branch outside of Big 2 adaptations. This style of genre storytelling is definitely his wheelhouse, so I don’t see it as a waste of potential in the same way that it is with some filmmakers. And yet, I’d still love to see this more fully formed Gunn make something like this that’s not part of a bigger ongoing universe/brand.

I'd take all three Guardians films over any of the Captain America's.

I mean, they made Infinity War and Endgame which were fantastic balancing acts of characters. People just love to shit on the Russos

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I would LOVE for a Russo bros spiderman movie

The Russos did get really annoying after their Avengers movie but I can never hate on them after they helped bring Community and Arrested Development to life

the mcu movies the russos directed (or were at least the credited directors for) worked in large part because those movies were i believe done by committee

Based on familiarity with past, current and future Russo projects they’re somewhat of a menace to society as far as filmmaking goes

The reason the Russo films are good is because of the two writers - Markus and McFeely. They wrote the entire Cap trilogy + Avengers 3/4

Dang this was really good. Funny, exciting, and weird in all the right ways. The animal stuff reminded me of We3 by Grant Morrison, which I highly recommend everyone read.

I believe I'll still rank it higher than the first and second. The first is my least favorite by a good margin. The second has great character development while the third shows the team being incredibly vulnerable with satisfying payouts.

i liked the new one over the second one but thats just my opinion, i definitely revisited the first movie a lot more.

Wow I loved this. Best of the trilogy. Fantastic action, best VFX in any Marvel film imo, heartfelt, and absolutely heart breaking. Teared up multiple times.

Excited to see what Gunn does with Superman.
