approx. 3rd coolest Steve on here Supporter

people make fun of “MCU humor” and always use a fake line as a reference such as “so THAT happened…”

Sometimes I wonder how someone as terminally online as me can still never come into contact with this stuff. Don't get me wrong, I'm probably doing something right.

James Gunn, you absolute mad lad. Up there with that ZSJL trailer with the deleted line “we live in a society.”

Avoiding the spoilers for this will be a pain. I have to wait four days after release to watch it.

I trust Mike Ryan’s opinion. That said, sounds pretty emotional.

After the Yondu scenes in Vol. 2 I have no doubts that Gunn will deliver the emotions in this.

“He might have been your father, but he wasn’t your daddy” line still hits.

    So assuming that this weekend...

I just got home from the premiere in Hollywood.

Guardians 3 is really fucking good. It’s also really fucking emotional.

Photo is proof I’m not just talking out my ass.

  15. "...strangely uneven & anticlimactic" sounds like the kind of criticisms Vol. 2 received, and that is my probably my favorite MCU movie.

Character-centric, emotion-driven, not rushing to get anywhere. Just focused on vibing with these great characters and world.

I thought that it was a well earned finale for this group of characters, but * shrug. *

If you go in expecting another version of the first Guardians movie you’ll feel disappointed. If you let the movie do what it needs to it’ll be gripping and gut punching.

Sounds like it’s doubling down on Vol 2 - which is the best MCU movie so I’m excited

Hearing that some of the “animal” treatment stuff in this is disturbing and maybe going too far. Animal lovers take caution.

I let this forum convince me to watch a movie from the 70s with actual cockfighting, so I think I can handle it.

I’m sure I’ll be fine, too. But I know some people are more sensitive to animal treatment. These are all CGI animals, but it sounds like it may disturb some people.

You’re not wrong. I sent a heads up text to my friend who has younger kids to let him know that the movie might be a little intense for them.

It’s very much a PG-13 movie in the sense that it’s meant for people over 13, not little kids.

LOL so my theater changed it’s only 2D screening from 10:30pm to 5pm. Luckily, I work from home and am done at 4:30. I should be able to clock out and leave and be able to see it on time.
