Two Weeks got me into them but Southern Point was what really grabbed me

 

Sleeping Ute through Yet Again is an absurdly good run of songs

 

Ready Able is one of my favs, and a song I tend to show people if they haven’t heard GB. Sleeping Ute is like a perfect example of how good Rosen is as a guitarist. It’s not especially hard to play, but it is so damn creative.

 

Ready, Able and Fine For Now are probably my 2 favorite GB songs

 

The Letterman performance of Ready, Able with the string section is so fucking good

 

Shields>Vecketamist>Yellow House>Painted Ruins

All 4 are superb.

 

Dang, Shields is far and away my least favorite. I actively dislike about half of that album

Edit: actually, I might like Painted Ruins less

 

Painted ruins is my fav. Also my album of the year.

 

Shields has higher highs for me but Painted Ruins stays consistently pretty damn good

 

This was one of my biggest disappointments of the year tbh :(

 

Took me a bit to come around to it tbh

 

Imo, While You Wait for the Others is their best song. Perfect pop with just a small bit of their weirdness/uniqueness that elevates it to something really special.

 

I think Three Rings might be the best thing they’ve ever done tbh. Such a jam.

Two weeks was the first song I head by them and loved it, but I couldn't get into anything else. Then Sleeping Ute came out and loved loved it then thankfully everything else clicked. If I had to rank I think it'll be

Veckatimest > Painted Ruins > Yellow House > Shields

I literally love all of them though and that was hard.

 

That setlist is literally amazing.. holy crap. I got lucky right when I got into them in 2012 they ended up coming to Texas that fall, but haven't seen them since.

Edit: I'm glad your first show seeing them went well! Hopefully you don't have to wait a really long time to see them again

 

My friend offered to sell me a ticket to their Wiltern show next week and I’m debating going. I saw their warm up show a few months back and it was pretty much the same setlist. But they were flawless and their stage set up looks pretty cool.

 

You should go because serpentwithfeet is opening and they are one of the most talented people making music right now.

 

I don't remember if this song was mentioned here or if I stumbled upon this. Amazing.
