do we really have to back to hearing that bands name in every thread? ill be slammed at work and really want to actually focus on my first listen. probably won't be until later
This is incredible. I'm sort of pleasantly surprised. Idk why. Shame on me. "Wasted Acres" what an intro.
I really enjoyed this on first listen. There weren't really any songs that stood out on first listen, but everything was really consistently well done
song reminded me a ton of radiohead this is a good album but i don't think it's as incredible as shields, not that that's the easiest thing to do
Yea that's my fav GB record. This being overlooked makes me think the world has moved past my music. I'm starting to feel like the old guy who reads rolling stone for the 5 star Dylan and Springsteen reviews.
Are we just comparing this to Brand New hype based on this site because that's an extremely unfair metric
Haha absolutely unfair. But when I say "overlooked" there seems to be a big shoulder shrug throughout the music world. I wasnt referring to this site exactly. At least that's the sense I've gotten.
not surprising, weirdly enough ian cohen and steve hyden sort of hit it on the mark, where old indie rock bands who are still putting out great records aren't getting the credit they used to because the buzz is just in a different realm now. i've noticed this happening with a bunch of bands
Ian Cohen and Steve Hyden are still my go to music writers/critics. They together make up a majority of my taste. Though Hyden dabbles a little more in heartland rock than I prefer. And Cohen likes the 1975 way too much. But I understand that's a big band around these parts. Also Dan Ozzi is great, as well as Tom Breihan
