Hadn't heard that before, but I concur. This band never ceases to amaze me.

 

This is the definitive version of Shift for me. I heard it in Blue Valentine and that was before I had listened to Horn of Plenty

 

Ugh. They’ll be in LA in like two days and I can’t go cause money. I always miss them

 

Yeah I've only heard Horn of Plenty like once so I don't even remember how that version sounds haha.

 

Revisited this last night. Really phenomenal. Definitely up there with their best work.

 

In case I forgot to mention Painted Ruins is my AOTY. Ended the year listening to it too

My knowledge of them doesn’t go far back but my 2nd fav is shields for sure!

And that fucking marfa demo is pretty high up too haha

It's insane how good this band is. Just saying.

 

I hope they tour the west coast this year.. it's been too long.

 

They will be playing Hollywood Bowl soonish I think. I very much would like to go

 

Wish I didn’t dislike this album so much. Three Rings might be my favorite song of theirs ever though. It takes me places

Side note: I played this yesterday.

 

My impressions were always positive. Theyre one of my all time favorite bands. I like this and Shields the best.

Wasted Acres, Four Cypresses, Three Rings, Cut-Out, and Neighbors are probably some of their very best songs.

This albums totally brilliant and its baffling that its reception wasnt at the level of Shields or V.

 

I love how dense this record is. Even moreso than shields at times
