oh lordy, she posted on instagram: "ps i hid an ambient psychedelic song somewhere on soundcloud i doubt u can find it but if u can i dunno, there it tis."
yeah, that bothered me. it's one of my favorite albums and to see the artist who made it talk about it like that doesn't sit well
I hate when artists say shit like that. Like, ok maybe she doesn't like it anymore, but to go that negative on it is just annoying to see/hear
somehow I missed this quote too She talks about a few specific songs again, too, including “So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth,” which this time she says is about “specifically how when a dude comes inside you, you become in their thrall — how it’s an attack on your feminist freedom.”
it continues with It’s a song that communicates best how much she’s changed over the last year; notably, in the context of her romantic relationship. “It’s sad how love can be this beautiful thing, but then love is the thing that’s fucking up my career,” she confesses. “The biggest change for me this year is losing my hardcore masculinity. I used to just be free—free of all this bullshit that it seemed like all the other girls were going through, and now I feel like I’m not.”
“It’s sort of about this demon of the end of the world, this character that’s like the Voldemort of climate change" oh
not sure if I’ll end up listening to her new album... definitely don’t consider myself a grimes “fan” anymore
Besides the absolutely ludicrous shit she's been saying in these interviews, it's really weird for someone (who hates press) to do this much press for an album that's apparently not finished???
we're never gonna get this album, are we? by the time she's done with this press tour, I might not even want it anymore
