Elon Musk donates money to the Republican Party, rightly described by Noam Chomsky as "the most dangerous organisation in human history... with such commitment, to the destruction of organised human life on Earth". He doesn't allow his workers to unionize. He has had very troubling interactions with women. Grimes has made the decision to date this man, who is very publicly a shitty person, therefore it isn't a stretch to imagine that she is also a shitty person

i think its fair to call someoen out who preaches feminism, socialism, equality etc and then not only dates someone who is literally against all these things but actively goes out of her way to defend him being against these things.

The Azealia Banks/Grimes/Elon Musk thing has to take the cake for weirdest thing of the year. Grimes and Elon don't follow each other on social anymore, so they probably broke up from it, but if the screenshots are real, Grimes doesn't come off well at all in this whole mess...

I mean, if Azaelia's messages are to be believed, it seems Grimes is dealing with pretty severe addiction? I hope she gets the help she needs.

 

It the text conversations are real, then Grimes does come off just as poorly

 

I used to think that for years, hence me avoiding her music until this year, but she redeemed herself lately. I don't blame anyone who stopped following her though, she truly was awful to everyone and even to her own fans.

 

All just...fucking bizarre.

I followed the whole mess on r/Grimes/ as it unraveled.

Yes it's very bizarre, and I think we only just saw the tip of the iceberg.

Thankfully it all seems to have calmed down. Grimes is currently doing the correct thing by keeping quiet on social media, and not adding further fuel to the fire. I really hope she's focusing on finishing her album and not letting the media bullshit get to her.

Struggling with addiction to what? There's nothing concrete to suggest any drug problems.

 

Except for the fact that Grimes has a publicly known history of drug abuse, the mention that she needs to get sober by Banks, and then her calling Grimes a “meth head.”
