It’s like if ETID released It Remembers or Things With Feathers and we weren’t sure if the whole album would sound like that. All those songs rule, including All Candy, but I’m not sure I want entire albums that sound just like those songs.Obviously that’s just one sonic palette ETID worked in, and they stayed super varied on the clean/heavy spectrum, but we just didn’t know enough about Greyhaven to trust them to not totally drop the heavy part of their sound. Then they dropped Foreign Anchor and everything was cool again, haha.
I think it was fine to be cautiously optimistic when that one was released. I say that as someone who had the album at my no. 4 spot in 2022. they’ve been getting some killer tours lately. Need to see them live soon.
I’ve just bought a ticket as they’re opening up for Better Lovers next year in the UK. Their first time over here - very excited!
Listened to the EP last night. The last two songs might be two of their best, which is saying a lot. I feel like this band has the potential to release a god tier album this next time around.
I saw Greyhaven open up for Better Lovers on the UK tour this week. Brilliant performance, even if it was only 30 minutes due to being the opener. This was their first time in the UK. I hope they come back soon.
You can hear it on VPN. Looks like the album is called Keep It Quiet. We are coming out of the gate with an absolute ripper, but with a really catchy chorus. I see this being pretty much universally liked by all fans. Holy shit just got to the outro. Putney produced again.
