well duh that’s why it’s dumb anyone is worked up about it, not like this will actively harm them in any way
if anything this falls under no publicity is bad publicity and a bunch of people are gonna check them out just to spite pitchfork
don't really have any opinions on this band or the review other than the line "Greta Van Fleet sound like they did weed exactly once, called the cops, and tried to record a Led Zeppelin album before they arrested themselves." is funny
I'm just in this thread because of that great review and I would never purposefully listen to this bad band
I see where you're coming at but... anyways i was thinking like someone casts teen 2018 versions of each member of Buckingham-Nicks era Fleetwood Mac.
That would just get us the same elitist condescending takes we already have about GVF, but would multiply them by rampant sexism.
All these bands are pop as much as they are rock. Rock music in 2018 sounds nothing like Greta Von Shite or whatever.
To me those are all pop bands and that's largely down to emphasis. The idea that people would consider those bands as representative of rock music is quite alarming to me. Also, while I've never gone back to it (and maybe that says something), I did actually quite like the EP that GVF released late last year.
