when deafheaven is the band i'm least incentivized to go see, you know it's a banger of a tour.

Just getting around to listening to this in full and it's great. They are playing here in January and I am real tempted to go. They are also coming back here twice in March on the Deafheaven tour, so I am also tempted to see them then.

"Strange Days" and "Dust"...wow, incredible songs. My two favorites on the album if I had to choose, but the whole record is very solid.

Edit: "New Hell" (the song) is also fantastic.

 

there are so many little great guitar moments on this. the little lick from 2:57-3:14 of You're Gonna Hate What You've Done unfffff

i'm listening to Dixieland for the first time right now and what the fuck why did no one tell me Valediction and Black Hole Jesus Christ are the best songs ever written

Bow is my fav Greet Death song (other than maybe You’re Gonna Hate What You’ve Done)

 

Black hole Jesus Christ is rly good but the lyrics are very, uh, in the aero plane over the sea
