i just described this to a friend as "Coldplay meets Hum meets O'Brother with Kermit and Elmer Fudd on vocals"

ngl I think the dude that sings in the higher nasally vocals sounds like sponge bob shoegaze pants but thats not a negative at all, just an observation

 

Think the most obvious comparison is Cloakroom and the higher vocalist sounds like dan bejar from destroyer

 

I can see that. Stefan from PUP also sounds kinda like Spongebob but in a totally different way lol

 

Yeah this is like pop rock cloakroom imo

 

This is the only thing I want to listen to

the vocals aren't inhibiting my enjoyment of this record whatsoever (I was worried that would be the case but it's not), I just think they sound kinda like cartoon characters. chill

I agree that they sound like cartoon characters. I also agree that it’s less distracting here than it was on Dixieland

 

I actually feel the opposite. I probably prefer Sam’s (aka Spongebob) vocals on Dixieland

 

Vocalists remind me of Cosmo and Wanda tbh

For the record, my comment on the vocals wasn't meant to be taken seriously or negatively. This band/record owns.
