that part of Entertainment is still one of the most emotionally arresting moments of music I can remember. even more so now probably

 

Thank you for bumping this thread. I think I went a full 3 weeks without listening to this album. Time to spin it again.

 

ended things with my gf last week so I listened to this and peripheral vision all weekend yah feel me?

 

gonna run this back and see if it’s grown on me at all.

Pandemic soundtrack for sure.

 

still such amazing stuff. they would've blown up after that deafheaven tour if it hadn't have been cancelled.

 

heard the opener and was like “huh, this is better than i remember, maybe i didn’t give them a fair chance”

annnnnnd then “do you feel nothing” started. yeah, i’m good. don’t wanna be a bummer in the thread so i’ll just duck out.

 

that's a great song

this is a great album

 

this album still rules and has become an all time favorite for me

 

Whole record is a dang classic. I specifically looooove the stretch from Let It Die through Strange Days. Just a roller coaster of emotions and sounds.

 

"Entertainment" is an all-timer

this line reallly jumped out at me the past few months

 

"You should sleep less, we should talk more" in "You're Gonna Hate What You've Done" punches me in the gut every time

yeah, "you're gonna hate what you've done" is great. man. why do they let the other guy sing. i have the same problem with menzingers.

 

you just gotta brute force listen until it becomes a feature not a bug

 

yeah I wasn’t sure at first but now I absolutely love his voice, Do You Feel Nothing is a hit

 

It know it's a preference thing but it ain't even that bad, their voices work super well together

 

I dig Sam's voice a lot. It's unique.
