This is probably the most emotionally moving record I have listened to this year. It’s always great to be reminded that music can still punch me in the gut.
Goddamnit, of course the one time a band has some good merch, it’s sold out Greet Death "Meanwhile" Premium Black T-Shirt
I'm late to the party and missed the vinyl PO - is there an indie variant or anything like that still available?
Looks like Zia still has a few copies of the indie retail if none of your local shops do - Greet Death - Die In Love (Colored Vinyl)
Current Vinyl Runs: 300 x Candied Heart (Deathwish Exclusive) 300 x Headstone (Greet Death Exclusive) 500 x Capricorn (Indie Exclusive) (Blue) 500 x Ritual (Clear w/ Black Smoke) 500 x Poltergeist (Blue w/Black Splatter) Zia has the Ritual in stock so unless other indie stores got the Capricorn it looks like they started sending out Ritual to stores as well. Assuming Headstone is what they will sell on tour as well but who knows since web-site says sold out for that pressing as well. Looks like both the EU and EK stores have copies still available if you reallllly want it.
somehow missed that but doesn't help their pressing info tab on the deathwish site isn't working for this album...
It’s been a while since an album has resonated with me lyrically on the level that this one has. Maybe Foxing last year.
"Emptiness is Everywhere" came up on shuffle after the Moving Mountains record ended and I've been obsessed with it for 2 weeks. Finally listening to the whole thing and man.. a great new discovery for me.
I can't fully explain my reasoning here but Emptiness is Everywhere sounds like driving to taco bell in 1999.
Loving this album so much. While Logan is awesome, the Harper-led songs still strike such a chord with me. Country Girl will probably be my song of the year. Emptiness Is Everywhere has its claws in me now though. So damn good.
i love every single song. as someone who has never listened to them, i've listened to this 10 times since i discovered it yesterday morning.
definitely work backwards through their other stuff when you have time. new hell is pretty much an all-timer for me, new low is a great ep that sits somewhere between that album and this one, and dixieland is maybe only one half step down from everything else. if that.
Yeah, I would say not even - they have such a clear evolution that it just depends if I'm in the mood for something doomier or something quieter. Dixieland rocks
i listened through new hell this morning. i think i'm gonna be spending a lot of time with these guys. not sure how they weren't on my radar before.
