Yeah, her songwriting has always been great but the lyrics here along with her singing have improved tenfold

 

I agree. New Hell had higher peaks, but this one is more consistent all the way through. Country Girl is one of my highlights for sure.

It was dreary and a little foggy today, took this for a drive around some backroads and it was the perfect soundtrack

 

I really love the lyrics on this album, especially Red Rocket, the title track, Motherfucker, and Emptiness is Everywhere. Kinda having a hard time figuring out what Love Me When You Leave is about. Thoughts?

 

Have not been able to stop listening to this. Somewhere in my top 3 so far this year with alien boy and deafheaven

 

This album really has its hooks in me. Shoutout to Logan too, his songs have a certain type of dread to them that really works for me.

 

don’t really love the first few tracks but from country girl on it’s all killer no filler

 

i’ve always appreciated how evenly matched logan and harper are in their songwriting.

 

just found out their show here in November is at a tiny little bar in the gayborhood, hell yeah

 

that’s where my band has played when we’ve come to st. louis. i really like it. great food, too.

 

I’ve only ever gotten drinks there but it’s a cool scene

Bummer nothing near New England on there. They're playing here in September but they're support and its the day after I see Turnstile so definitely not happening.

Hopefully they add some more dates for that tour. I can't make the ones near me.

 

All the halloween lyrics on “country girl” took me out as that’s my favorite movie haha

 

yeah I love that verse. My main gripe is I think Country Girl is the best song on the album and I’ve listened to it every day since they released it lol.

incredible song, my favorite of the year so far. I get the "Johnny likes Crooked Rain..." part with the really heavy guitars stuck in my head all the time.
