If there are 10 vote switchers that hate it now on geriatric chorus. I’ll admit defeat. But if you like it now it don’t count.
Hahahahahaha to be fair, i never use Alexa or Siri. I hate that shit. My wife uses that stuff, and even has an Apple watch that she somehow texts on? I might as well be 50 right now, honestly. Hahaha.
I hate it because I think it’s a really, really bad record. I don’t even think of it as Green Day record when I make the mistake of listening to it because how different Billie sounds in so many songs.
I like that about it. Green Day has done Green DayTM soooo many times now that this one was a breath of fresh air because it was vastly different. Even just as a one-off, it must feel good for the band to break the mold and do something different for a change. I’m sure the next album they put out will be more in their regular vein. I don’t think FOAM is groundbreaking or perfect or anything, but it’s a LOT of fun if you just let your hair down and have a good time with it.
I was a teenage teenager Filled with piss and vinegar I think those are right. I honestly can’t think of any other lyrics besides the words “oh yea”
I just got my hair cut buzzed down to a 2 on top and 1.5 on the back and sides. I can’t let my hair down. No wonder I don’t like it.
I’d argue mine is always up I’ve already explained my ironic liking of Teenager. Oh yea is just easy to remember because it’s so horrendously generic.
FOAM/the FOAM era is certainly not their best work but I don't really think it's terrible, especially some of the b-sides they released that didn't make the album FOAM Era Songs Good Father of All Meet Me On the Roof Stab You in the Heart Sugar Youth Graffitia Pollyanna (b-side) Holy Toledo (b-side) Okay Junkies on a High Take the Money and Crawl Here Comes the Shock (b-side) Bad Fire, Ready, Aim Oh Yeah I Was a Teenage Teenager
I don’t think Pollyanna is in any way associated with FOAM. It’s also better than anything on that record.
I actually heard Pollyanna in a store yesterday right after all this Green Day talk lol. I'd say it's Rev Rad-level Green Day. Definitely miles better than anything on FOAM.
I mean, I personally wouldn’t put it above Dookie. But it’s probably common for those who have American Idiot as their top to have 21cbd fairly high as well and can see someone with that preference putting Dookie lower.
Is it wrong to say the best Green Day song in the last 6 years is called “No More Guns” and was written and performed by Tom DeLonge/AVA? And that song was the worst or 2nd worst on that album.
My current top 5 songs after my recent discog run: Waiting Redundant Nice Guys Finish Last Pulling Teeth JAR the Nimrod/Warning era was something special. Super glad I got to see them around that time before American Idiot took over the world.
Geez, I’ll pick 5 songs but if you asked me tomorrow they’d probably be different than what I’m about to post. When I Come Around Jesus of Suburbia Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? Stuck With Me Welcome to Paradise
