Hey, as long as they announce they’ll be playing it so the rest of the world can avoid it, sure, why not? It’d be Green Day’s style to play a show in a huge venue and perform as they would any other night to just two people.
Sure. But having a global pandemic giving them time to focus on writing when they couldn’t tour obviously helped move things along quicker.
Instantly looking forward to this now. I wouldn’t shocked if this turned out to be a disco punk rock opera. At this point, I’d be completely okay with something in the vein of 21CB
The Butch outcome bums me out every time I think about. So much potential was with that partnership. I'm going to go listen to Alter The Ending by Dashboard now.
Just now reading this. Interesting. Billie Joe Armstrong Wants To Re-Record Green Day's Warning — Kerrang!
I kinda see his point, but I doubt they’d ever spend the time and resources on actually doing the whole album. Maybe they’d do one song during a recording session. But I don’t think I’d want them to do it unless it was more of a reimagining that would make the songs fairly different.
I think it’d be cool if they just released a live session of the album or something form when they played a lot of those songs live. Similar to the BBC Sessions.
Wild to think think he wants to re-record Warning. I love the guitar tones on that album. My favorite tone of his aside from American Idiot lol.
