Although he’s singing in falsetto for the majority of the song, I don’t think it’s hard to tell it’s him singing. I can never listen to this song just once. It’s too damn good.
Ever seen footage from a Foxboro Hot Tubs show? Or even whenever they perform St. Jimmy I think he's a really solid frontman even without a guitar Kevin Preston from Prima Donna. He's part of the Longshot
Yeah I'd rather they didn't have a second extra guitarist. Yeah when he's in character like that he's good. In this case it's not necessary and I'd rather see him play guitar because he is really good even when he's just holding down the rhythm.
Does anyone get a Portugal the man kind of vibe from this song? I'm excited to hear the whole thing after hearing Billie Joe's comments about it being different from what they usually do.
Cool as fuck. So happy they're going in a direction that excites them. The video itself is a load of fun and captures the energy of the song perfectly.
This is a thing they've done for years, I think? I know I saw them do I Fought the Law twice at a show because BJ was like "fuck yeah that was awesome let's do it again" or whatever
That's Not Metal have a wicked first part of their Green Day special podcast out now, covering everything up to and including Nimrod, and it has made me go back through their discography and damn. Straight out the gates everything from the first song on 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours up to American Idiot is absolute gold.

The last post in this thread was really in Feb? Before the pandemic? Wow. Anyways, Pulling Teeth is an underrated song.
