At least we got the trilogy in less than two years, could you imagine if that was their next three album cycles over a 4-6 year span
I’ve made a 14 song version, a 17 song nimrod-y version, a 10 song thing...there’s lots of cool fun permutations to make but no matter what it still comes out as the worst GD record since 39/Smooth. You can come up with a cool enough playlist of pretty good songs, but it doesn’t really add up to a RECORD for me. I can’t find a way to arrange the songs to tell a story or suggest a theme, or evoke a mood. There’s frustratingly little substance to the Trilogy songs. They’re just like songs that exist cuz Green Day is a band and bands do songs.
Yeah, I can see that point. They are definitely "just a collection of songs", nothing cohesive. But when those songs come up on Shuffle I rarely skip them, maybe 3-4 of them at most are bad (to me).
Very few people could pull off wearing that bandana like that but he actually looks good of course lol
Strong rumors that there's going to be a small US tour with Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy Also strong rumors that they're dropping the first single Tuesday
That sounds like a very good tour but who would be opening for who on that tour? No way are FOB main support on a Weezer/GD co-headliner in 2019.
You’re out of your mind if you think GD ain’t headlining. Their last arena tour sold super well. It could be a thing where FOB does half and Weezer does the other half.
Tré Cool started following Fall Out Boy and Rivers Cuomo on Instagram 2 hours ago, so I think it's safe to assume it is going to happen.
Surely there's no way that tour isn't Weezer opening, then FOB as a "co-headliner"/ special guest, then GD headlining. Similar to the Blink/Lil Wayne tour where Wayne always plays second.
I was thinking (hoping) this would be the case. But from what ive seen it seems like the tour will be 2020. So 26 year anniversay tour?
