The Last Time, Chasing a Ghost, Love is for Losers, Cult Hero, Kill Your Friends, Turn Me Loose, and Goodbye Romance are all pretty damn good. The others aren’t even bad really, just not as good as the rest. Gonna be fun to blast all summer!
Normally this type of album would sound perfect in April weather in MA, lol. Excited for some simple, fun "Green Day" music whenever it gets warm!
This is a fun album. If this were the next Green Day album I’d be pretty “meh” about them doing this. But as a side band and as a completely random surprise right before nice warm weather, I’m into it! It’s basically UNO but without being under the Green Day brand and expectations, and also relatively better.
Also, Goodbye to Romance is a genuinely great closer. And Love is for Losers was brutally stuck in my head today all at work. So I’m happy!
Okay yeah I love this, every song is super catchy and the fact that Billie plays every instrument on every song (expect his son playing drums on Happiness) and also produced it is pretty damn impressive I wonder if those tickets are going to be impossible to get. I kind of wish he just posted the tour dates on the Longshot account instead of his personal one so less people would know about it lol
Yeah, this is definitely not better than RR in any way, but it’s fun. Actually, I like Tre better too.
Billie Joe posted 3 new Longshot EPs on Soundcloud and also posted Devil's Kind on their Youtube The Longshot (that's a link to the Soundcloud page) The Bullets EP is songs he wrote for the musical These Paper Bullets, Return to Sender is all covers and Razor Baby is originals except the last song which is a Cheap Trick cover
Yeah EPs are real short though, 15 mins, 10 mins and 3 mins respectively Looks like they're mostly unused demos but there's some cool shit in there
Is he? He's twice led Green Day to be one of the biggest rock bands in the world, a decade apart, and to the HOF.
Is it just me or is the Spotify version of Back in the USA borked? There seems to be something going on with the verses - possibly the encoding - that makes it unbearable to listen to compared to the music video version.
I thought: Dumbstruck Color me stupid Was "dump truck, calling me stupid" for the longest time. That's all.
