I mean to be fair I do like 21CB and Saviors but found Rev Radio to be completely forgettable. The Trilogy and FOAM is hot garbage though.
I listened to RevRad today per this thread and outside of Still Breathing I didn’t really find much to hang onto.
I didn't realize how much I actually love 21CB. Been a while since they've done something that experimental.
i would say father of all is some degree of "experimental" for them but just like a fucking horrible experiment i never need to hear again lmao i am all for bands straying outside of their comfort zone and swinging for huge risks but honestly green day after american idiot have generally landed best for me when theyve been trying to sound like green day
“You know what great Green Day albums no one ever talks about these days? Nimrod and Warning.” *Isomniac stans watch on quietly*
insomniac -> nimrod -> warning is the holy trifecta for me tbh, such an insane run. dookie is really not all that far behind them though that whole run of four is just nuts
21CB is a great album that I think is on par with AI. It’s also the last album of theirs that I genuinely enjoy front-to-back
My best friend who I work with asked if I saw that my boys were playing Super Bowl. I said oh yeah Green Day I saw that, He’s like are you gonna watch the game and I said no I’m just gonna watch the performance later online. He’s like what song do you hope they play. I said I just hope they say something political and he laughed out loud
I hope they abuse the shit out of the platform they’re being handed and let the people have it. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re under a contract agreement to not do that. Then I again, I hope they’re not a a band that would agree to something like that without breaking the agreement haha.
“Nightlife” just came up when I put my library on shuffle and….damn….that song is embarrassing. Can only imagine how much blow was being done in the studio to think that putting that song to tape was a good idea.
Yeah, I'll take the worst song by a politically progressive band I love over some transphobic piece of shit who hates people like me for existing and supports multiple rapists. Nicki is trash. Garbage music by a garbage human
Just completed a trilogy play through this week and my hot take is TRE is good and the best of the 3. UNO has a strong start but then turns into meh until Oh Love. DOS has some enjoyable songs but gets a little weird/bad.
Scorching. You're only allowed to hate them completely or not at all, those are the options, I'm afraid.
