i still believe that 'panic song' it the best song on insomniac, slightly above an album full of contenders. it's the antithesis to almost every green day song up to that point. usually you hear lyrics from bllie no later than 15 seconds into the track. here, you get almost an instrumental track before actually blasting through the lyrics in the last minute or so. blew. my. mind.
Also it’s the only Green Day song that was written specifically for guys on little motorcycles riding around the inside of a sphere cage.
Absolutely. This, the back half of Chump and the extended bridge on Welcome To Paradise are all brilliant instrumental moments.
Billie Joe Armstrong Says Perry Farrell Didn't Want Green Day to Perform at Lollapalooza '94. How the Band Retaliated

Is that the click track? edit: actually, I think what I’m hearing is the kick drum. Not sure why it sounds the way it does.
Their post-Warning hits + the Pink song had me worried about the setlist but everything since has me moshing in my living room.
Super-Soldier-Serum-injected Chris Carabba was wild. Are the fan thing pre-planned/vetted before they go up?
Idk if it's different at Coachella, but I've been to shows where they've pulled people on stage who definitely don't know how to play power chords to play Know Your Enemy.
was it? I watched, it was pretty typical fare for them. Maybe in terms of scale this and Milton Keynes but not sure how this would be the best
Maybe just my hype talking but they sounded amazing, the setlist was basically perfect, the stage production, the huge scale and amount of potential new people they may have been playing in front of (both in person and on the stream), the Palestine shout... loved it
Probably me being nostalgic but Green Day’s best performance was Woodstock 1994 and probably was their most important performance.
Dear Lord. Tracks 20 through 31 of the setlist is something to behold. And not a single Dookie or American Idiot track in that run. Wow.
