I can't believe how small the venues are for this tour. This is going to be absolutely nuts. Hope the prices are reasonable
top 10 in no particular order waiting give me novocaine j.a.r. whatsername fuck off and die reject paper lanterns church on sunday stay the night stuart and the avenue
"Waiting" is easily one of the most underrated Green Day songs of all-time. Not necessarily my Top 10 (I'd have to think on it some more)... But really solid. I always forget how much I love "Reject."
Not sure how I feel about Revolution Radio. I liked Bang Bang more on first listen, but it will probably grow on me.
Yeeeeah... I don't dig this. To be honest, I haven't liked anything they've done since American Idiot, before it blew up and never got out of my face. I'm sick of it now. Great live band though!
It took me a minute to get what you all were talking about. For those that don't know: Revolution Radio (the song) apparently leaked. I haven't been able to track down a stream and I'm at work, so I'm not risking a download. But I guess it's out there.
It's out there. Apparently it's being released tomorrow on iTunes and Spotify... I'm assuming it's deliberate that they're timing the release of the song around the onsale date for the tickets.
It's certainly more approachable than Bang Bang but still nothing special. I liked the intro guitar but from there on out nothing stood out. It's not even catchy. The only way for this band to regain a fresh sound and excitement was a HUGE step forward, but it doesn't seem this album will be doing that.
The song is definitely more accessible than Bang Bang. I'm still not even sure how I feel about Bang Bang.
My favorite part of both these songs have been the breakdowns/small guitar parts, and I don't know what that says about the rest of the songs. I like Revolution Radio and Bang Bang but there's something that isn't sitting right with me that I can't pinpoint
I definitely like Bang Bang better but I love RR's chorus Both of them need their vocal mixes turned up though
Yea, the lo-fi vocal effects on both songs...I'm not sure how I feel about it. I don't mind it occasionally, but I hope it isn't on the entire album.
Lyrics are pretty trite but I like it, I just think it'll be refreshing for me to hear an album like this from GD at this point in my life. Refreshing in only the most personal of senses though, I have a feeling this album will just be more of the same 04 to 09 Green Day. That's ok with me
Need to dig into the lyrics, but so far I'm digging both singles. Catchy, high-energy... And it seems like they actually give a shit about the songs. There's an urgency that was missing in all of the trilogy.
Like Revolution Radio much much much better than Bang Bang. I don't think the song is an instant classic but it's fine. I am worried about the rest of the album though. Hopefully there's some better songs on it or is isn't much of a comeback by Green Day.
The title track reminds me a lot of Extraordinary Girl melodically on first listen. Both songs have been pure American Idiot to me so far, I'm into it.
These songs are pretty alright, can't complain was just hoping for something a little more different so far
I like the title track more than Bang Bang. I think the melodies are more interesting and memorable. Not a stretch by any means since it's very much a GD song lol
