on second listen, without the preconceived notions of what Pinhead Gunpowder are, the new album is pretty enjoyable. Honestly just sounds like Saviors B-sides for 90% of the time

The Coachella news is so cool, the new representation they took on before this album cycle really has been killing it

 

I love this Pinhead Gunpowder album, more than the Green Day album (which I also like a lot). It’s wild how few listeners Pinhead Gunpowder has on Spotify at the moment (32K), given that Billie is all over that album and it is a Green Day year.

Had Brain Stew on repeat today. What a cool song it is - the riff, the structure, the vocals, the guitar tone. Love that it's still a setlist staple.

 

Brain Stew guitar tone is probably in my top 5 guitar tones.

Agreed, it feels incomplete when they skip it. Same with skipping Are We the Waiting and go right into St. Jimmy.

 

For the sake of 90 seconds they definitely could.

 

I think going from Brain Stew into St Jimmy is a good compromise. Not ideal, but I get it.

After seeing them do that, found it interesting that they play Brain Stew 1/2 step down as per the recording but then play St Jimmy 1 position up on the fret board to keep it in the original key
