My very minor gripe is I wish their logo was better spaced – in general – so people would stop calling them "Greenday"
Personally, I want a setlist that's "All By Myself" 30 times. Then maybe after that, as an encore, they can play all of "Father of All Motherfuckers". They can even put that stupid fucking FOAM billboard on stage with them ("no swedish songwriters!!!"). I don't think I've posted a single thing here since making this account, but I figure I may as well waste my first post by telling you folks my incredible idea. Anyway, yeah, the two new songs sound better than everything on FOAM. "The American Dream is Killing Me" has 21CB vibes and "Look Ma, No Brains" sounds a bit more oldschool (and I think I prefer that one). Can't wait to hear these in actual studio quality tomorrow. I'm hoping for an album at least on the level of "Revolution Radio" - this doesn't have to be another "Dookie" or "American Idiot", I just want it to be good.
I far prefer Green Day in every case but the parallels are crazy. Scrappy debut The minor break out The absolute hit with the beloved singles The more abrasive follow up The more diverse album with the pop turned up resulting in their biggest hits The follow up with more popular songs but it was clear their 90s peak was winding down It's kind of a miracle that Green Day basically stalled out and released a greatest hits album, and people thought they were done, then returned to conquer the world a second time over.
Looks like at least a few radio stations are premiering the new track this AM. KROQ and Q101, anyway. Q101 is debuting it at 8am CST/9am EST which lines up with the timing somebody put out there yesterday.
LOL. Whoever is doing the marketing for this one deserves a bonus. So far, it's been pretty immaculate.
Also I don’t think look ma, no brains was ever a b-side. I think what that meant is it was on the b side of the vinyl. It’s track 2 on the new album
