Damn green day, pumpkins, rancid.....holy hell, Linda Linda's? I hate arena shows so I'm not into it but that's a lineup
I think there’s a better chance of Billie Joe actually dropping literal dookie on you than it is for the above to happen.
I someday want another album packed full of Green Day in wistful mode. Points of reference: Scattered, Worry Rock, Redundant, Uptight, Walking Alone, (Nimrod is a weird album), Waiting, Macy's Day Parade, etc. And they can also throw in a bit of the super saccharine like At the Library, Dry Ice, and 2,000 Light Years Away. Fellas, please just write about girls and the feelings again. Thanks!
Yeah Nimrod and Warning both rule. One of the only songs I ever listen to from the trilogy is Sweet 16, which very much seems like a love song to Adrienne and it's very sweet
I remember kind of liking Stay the Night as a throwback, but then it feels like he forgets they're not playing it live and throws in a bunch of unnecessary shit that drags the song. Holy shit, just checked and that song is nearly 5 minutes long. What the fuck.
New song has some promising bits, and some elements I'm not as keen on. Truthfully, as long as it sounds nothing like FOAM, then it's an improvement. A truly horrible record IMO. Besides, as much as I'd love a record as good as Dookie, Insomniac, American Idiot, etc, that's just wishful thinking. At this point in their career, they just need a few fun songs that they can chuck into a live set and not have them stick out like a sore thumb.
Stay The Night is the only song I like from the trilogy tbf. Wouldn't go out of my way to listen to it though lol
Listening to Stay the Night now for the first time in years and it's a good song, it does remind me of pre-Dookie Green Day in a good way.
