Foxboro Hot Tubs album is better than FOAM. I'm a huge Green Day fan (think of my relationship with them as how most of you think of Blink 182) so I'm more apt to make apologies for their missteps (like how people claim Chesire Cat is actually listenable). Net/net the only album that I think GD has that's worse than FOAM is Dos.
But like we've talked about, I don't pay as close attention to lyrics as you do. I couldn't tell you a single lyric from FOAM off the top of my head haha. That's the very last thing in a song that I focus on. And the trilogy is literally 3 albums haha.
Anyways, based on what we’ve heard I think ya’ll will like the next record a lot more than FOAM. I’m just hoping it’s not too much of a RevRad retread
FOAM sounds like Hollywood Records asked an AI to make a “what if Green Day was a fake band on a Disney Channel show” album
Ignoring such a prominent part to songs is very weird. You’re not alone in it, but it’s weird. Though, to be fair, none of the lyrics on FOAM are worth remembering. Hey, I counted as one to help your ratio haha If you want to count it as 3, then you like 6 and hate 7. Giving you the losing side haha
Let's try something fun: 1. 1039>Buddha 2. Kerplunk>Cheshire Cat 3. Dookie>Dude Ranch 4. Enema>Insomniac 5. TOYPAJ=Nimrod (super fucking hard both albums are excellent) 6. Untitled=Warning (again, super fucking hard lol) 7. American Idiot>Neighborhoods 8. 21CB=California (idk I don't love either but they have their merits) 9. Trilogy>Nine (both very flawed but the good songs on the trilogy are better than the good songs on Nine, idk I don't care that much) Rev Radio = good FOAM= not good
Good thing music is subjective! Okay today at work I'll listen to both and see if I change my mind I guess, idk
Okay I've been listening to Nine and it's better than I remember, I just fucking loathe that Blame it on My Youth song which I think tainted my memory of it, so you all win! Nine>Trilogy, there happy?
I'm concerned if you can't even quote "oh yeah" from the chorus of their song "Oh Yeah" - signed, person that has listened to 15 minutes total of FOAM
I heard it once, I'm sure I heard it twice My dad used to give me all of his advice He would say, "You gotta turn your back and run now Come on son, you haven't got a chance now"
