I'd love a Dookie / American Idiot tour where they play both albums in full and then have an epic encore of other hits and deep cuts for the fans. A guy can dream lol
There's been no mention of it being remastered. Everything just says "original album" which makes me think it hasn't been touched up at all.
I'd order it AI first then Dookie then maybe 2-3 goodies. AI works as an intro and then Dookie is definitely the more fun/snappy second half.
maybe its just me but im so worn out on album play tours. for how expensive a concert going experience is nowadays, i want to hear a wide range of the catalog, not spend an hour devoted to an entire album. feel like there are more creative and fun ways to commemorate an anniversary? idk
I’m worn out when bands constantly do it for the same albums over and over. However Green Day is so big, they have been stuck playing basically the same set for 10+ years.
Demos are cool, can't justify the price of the vinyl box set when I already own Dookie and Woodstock '94
Seriously I was just about to say the same thing. So bad. I love a Green Day show but "SHOUT" and all the gimmicky shit they do is so lame. "Say heyyyyy-ohhhhh" OOOH time to spray the crowd with water guns!! Kill me
I heard Governator the other day for the first time lol. Sounded like it should've been on the Network album
That's why I have a goal to someday make it to one of their club shows where they just play a shit ton of deep cuts
BJ said a while back that the call and response stuff is to give time for the audience - which was starting to include much younger kids - to cool down and catch a breath. How much of that is the case vs. how much he wants to be pop punk Freddy Mercury, who knows.
That too (although he said this probably 20 years ago), but I edited the post to include the part about kids of fans starting to come.
Pretty much why i've not seen them in 18 years despite listening to them regularly. Saying that I'd probably go next time in the UK.
