Huge difference between not wanting to take it yourself and going out of your way to actively promote or support the spread of dangerous misinformation
it was obviously incredibly stupid before but people being anti-vax now after i’ve had a kid it’s like, why are you trying to kill my baby lol the amount of anti-vax people in the nannying community is staggering
My favorite is the staunch antivaxxers who also smoke cigarettes or vape. “I’m not putting that in my body!” Oh, suddenly you’re worried about your health? Fuck off.
Along with demos and a live show (from Chicago) deluxe edition would be great ala what they did for Nimrod.
I’d be all about a remixed/remastered vinyl of Dookie. I have always passed on getting it for some reason, so holding out for that version would be awesome.
Probably just gonna be a rerelease but I would fucking kill for a tour, especially if they rope the 20th anniversary of AI into it too. They could easily play both albums all the way through and still have time for more songs
Oh give me a deluxe with that Jaded in Chicago show from that era. I used to have it recorded on vhs from the mtv broadcast. Hell even throw the Woodstock performance in there, mud fight interruptions and all.
which comes first: 30th anniversary of American Idiot or the actual, new album they've been teasing for what feels like 7 years?
It was remastered for the 2xLP version that came out a couple years before the boxset, boxset uses the same plates. Infinitely better than the old 1xLP version we had forever which heavily distorted. The entire catalogue did get a nice vinyl remastering from Chris Bellman a few years ago and they all sound amazing. So I'm hoping for just a nice deluxe with some additional material.
Interesting that it doesn't seem to match up with any of the three different demo versions that have been floating about. Hah. Really excited to see what they've loaded this up with if they've dug deep into the vaults... Also curious to see if they have a live set similar to what they did with Nimrod. Assuming it won't be Woodstock '94 (though I'd be shocked if we made it through 2024 without that being on streaming, getting another vinyl pressing, and so on).
The Mike anti-vax stuff is absurd, particularly given how much crystal meth the band used to do. That was ok but medical vaccines are not?
