I genuinely don't dislike any of the albums being discussed, except for Dos (4-5 good songs on there, but a lot of utter trash).
I often think of it through the prism of "which songs do I skip when I'm on shuffle and half paying attention" - I'm not skipping ANY Gaslight song ever, I'm skipping maybe 15% of the trilogy, and probably 70% of FOAM
absolutely revolting to see Get Hurt, an actual good album with some clunkers, being held in comparison to FOAM. do better people.
By the way, not to hijack the thread, but I actually don't think it has any clunkers. I don't love Stay Vicious and I think Stray Paper is lazy (for them), but a lot of the other songs that people seem to hate I really really love! Red Violins and Selected Poems to name two.
The trilogy's release, not even considering the music, was so exciting for me back then. I was about to turn 17 and head into my last year of high school with my favorite band releasing three back-to-back albums. I was stoked
Apparently a new song leaked? Or a bit of it? I don't care to really go in depth but I'm curious if any of you have heard this Edit: found what I think it is, sounds p good
It's actually confirmed not from those sessions but the sessions directly following The Network's last album.
This is ~a loooot better than FOAM, and that's coming from one of the few brave humans on Earth who is upfront about his enjoyment of said record
