The way most of this site feels about Brand New is how I feel about Green Day

 

Really curious to see if they are able to get back on track. Hope so.

 

I am hoping for a 10 track concise, focused album! They have to, right?

Meh, I'm not going to get my hopes up like last time because that was when we got the trilogy which wasn't that good.

 

Get hype

Interested in this, not sure if I'd call it excitement though.

Haven't been a fan of anything since Warning. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

 

I was literally just thinking about what Green Day was up to yesterday.

 

I'm not at all worried about this. If you mix and match 10-12 songs from the trilogy, you'd get a pretty decent Green Day album. Whether this is good or bad, it's been a fantastic year for new music.

 

The long-awaited sequel to American Idiot.

 

Pretty sure they'll try and keep this focused, but I think 14 tracks is more likely with Green Day. Plus, as a fan of everything this band has done the more the better for me, haha

 

Isn't that basically what 21st Century was? I know they changed their sound a little but thematically it seemed like a continuation

I was mostly kidding, but in no way would I call 21CB a sequel.

 

Im interested to see the direction they go with the new album. im game for anything, but wouldn't mind something similar to AI or 21CB.

 

First time in more than a decade they can go into an album without major expectations. I'm optimistic.

 

Will be hard for them not to meet my expectations as they are extremely low after the trilogy.

 

I really hope they're back, I was so underwhelmed with 21st Century and the trilogies. I'd love something sounding like Warning, which outside of this site is their most underrated album. I feel like this site sees the greatness of that record though
