They released this variant last year and maybe I’m wrong but I got the feeling they wouldn’t release anything for the 25th anniversary. Just in case, I bought it since it's my favorite GD album. https://www.discogs.com/es/release/30542434-Green-Day-Warning
Yeah I'm hoping for a Warning 25th anniversary release. Gimme the original version of Clusterbomb, baby!
Would be very funny if the movie is 87 minutes of that one guy repeatedly shouting “We’re opening up for Green Day!”
Church on Sunday played last night. First time since 2022 and only the 3rd time since 2001. Need to see the clip but no doubt it sounds flawless as usual.
American Idiot is forever my favourite Green Day album because it blew my 14 year old mind and I wouldn't be on this site now if it wasn't for that album. Warning is 2nd, such a great album. And so underrated. Church on Sunday is a classic.
Was sure I'd seen it performed but checked the Warning tour gig I was at in 2000 and nope. 6 Warning tracks but not Church.
Exactly how I feel about American Idiot. If fall 2004 hadn’t been such a busy time of music discovery for me, there would have been an American Idiot song on the My Life In 35 Songs series.
even having that same formative experience with american idiot when i was 13-14, warning is still my favorite tbh lol
I think for a while I tried to convince myself I also actually liked Warning more, but recently (for no reason in particular at all, I swear) I have been listening to AI more and Letterbomb brings me to tears every single time. I swear that album saved my life.
Warning will always be my favorite and pretty easily. I feel like I have good memories about when the Minority video came out and everything, just liked that time
I wouldn't be playing guitar and I wouldn't write songs if it weren't for American Idiot. Dookie is the obvious second best with Warning in a respectable third place. So many good songs on that record with some of my all time favourites like Deadbeat Holiday and Waiting.
Insomniac is clearly their best, actually. And yeah, Nimrod is great. I have a ton of memories with those two in particular from my musical formative years.
even though american idiot and dookie were much more integral in my youth to getting me into music and specifically playing music, i have found in adulthood that the trio of albums between them resonate with me the most. isnt even a knock on either surrounding album as much of a testament it is to how much i love insomniac, nimrod and warning. nimrod almost feels like the closest thing the big league pop punk bands have to a london calling with how sprawling and adventurous it is
1. Insomniac 2. Nimrod 3. Dookie 4. Warning 5. Kerplunk 6. 1,039 Everything after Warning is stored in a different folder in my brain titled “Post-AI Green Day.”
I really hope they keep playing these deep cuts when the tour makes it back to American festivals, I'm seeing them in two weeks and want to hear them play a song I've never heard lmao And yeah I honestly like both Nimrod and Warning (and Kerplunk) more than Dookie
