I’m more likely to cry at a movie. But that is rare still. For some reason I cried every time I saw The Last Jedi in theaters. But never once when seeing it at home. I know I cried at Coco in fairly recent years. I know there were a few others.
I never used to cry at shows, but I’ve cried at pretty much every concert I’ve been to post-COVID. Some mix of being grateful to have live music back, hearing songs live that got me through the pandemic, and just generally becoming more of a sap as I get older. Lol
...yeah? You're not very good at this. I know the punk scene can pretty pretty misogynistic but I doubt most people are going to view crying as a negative. If you're going to troll, at least be good at it.
Very casual Green Day fan. Generally, I check out a new record, really like one or two songs, and revisit once a year. I put probably 5 songs from Saviors on a playlist and more often than not whenever a song from the album comes on I pop over to the record and play it front to back. What a strong back catalog album. Not sure if anyone else has said this here, but the riff from One Eyed Bastard is almost identical to a really annoying Pink song and I can't unhear it.
Oh dang no one has noticed this until now! Someone alert the lawyers Ya it’s been said maaaaany times
He really does have the look of a guitar-toting guy on the quad threatening to start singing "Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road."
I cried the other night at Spanish Love Songs show during Brave Faces Everyone. I think I’ve cried more than half the times I’ve ever heard that song in my life. And I definitely cried at Forever Now’s last big chorus at a Green Day show in 2017. I was in the pit with other people, screaming out “I ain’t gonna stand in line no more” and I could not stop crying. It felt like I was going onto a higher plane of existence. No regrets on either. Tears remind us we are alive.
Pretty sure this is what the summer tour set will look like Green Day Setlist at Echoplex, Los Angeles
Let’s hope so. I will take seeing saviors songs for the first time over seeing a drawn out king for a day / shout again.
