I highly doubt they would play Dookie and American Idiot in full on this tour, but ideally I wish they would. Maybe open with American Idiot, play a few new songs / old classics, then play Dookie, then encore with 3-4 more classics. That would be the ideal setlist for me
But we also have to take in account the 10-20 minutes of "Hey-oooo's" that Billie Joe is gonna do, so it's unlikely Dookie and American Idiot will get played in full lol
Weird, I don't hear that at all. This feels a bit more rough around the edges, and fun than Rev Rad was. I've always wanted GD to release a side-project-like song under the Green Day banner, and we're finally here.
Not hearing anything "rough" on this tbh. Rob and Lord-Alge? Dunno, that's not a combo I associate with rough. Also thought Rev Rad was a lot of fun!
Haha glad you guys are loving it because it actually took a few listens to grow on me. I certainly liked it on first listen but it also sounds like a pretty standard Green Day song; more listens brought out the little nuances and I love it now. I was actually gonna compare it to Maria also American Dream is fantastic too, and I also feel the need to point out that both of the music videos have been really cool so far, which is an aspect I feel like they've barely cared about since 21st Century
Surprised at the positivity towards Revolution Radio on here. I thought they were phoning it in on that record.
nah RevRad is great I like this song but it's definitely not as strong melodically as the ones it reminds me of (Maria, Nice Guys etc.) still about as good as they're gonna be in 2023 I guess (wonder if Billie abruptly mentioning suicide is just a thing on every song on this album lol)
