Just to add to the Imagine Dragons conversation, the song they had in the “Mission: Impossible” trailer rips. Bad band, but good song.
Fever isn’t bad but definitely is the weakest of the songs for this album. Seems perfect for a b-side.
just went back to the store that had the listening party for this for my record and they threw in some free badges for me, this after getting a free poster the first time. this place is legendary
I didn't realize what thread I was in, and YOU saying that Fever isn't for you really really really confused me
I’m not a fan of Bobby Sox (sorry) and One Eyed Bastard so it’s unfortunate that both are at the beginning, but aside from that I think it’s a really fun album. I’ve been listening to it a lot.
At this point I think I would only cut Bobby Sox, although the run of 1981 through Corvette is all hit or miss for me depending on the mood I'm in. Still think the last six songs obliterate the first nine.
If you’re gonna cut Bobby Sox, go all the way and cut everything except Corvette City and the Fever b-side.
Suzie Chapstick has really grown on me. That chorus sounds a little Foo Fighters to me. Could see Dave singing it.
The verse melody on Suzie Chapstick is so oddly familiar. I can't pinpoint it, but I swear it's already in a song that exists. Anyways, I'm a big fan of the song.
Bobby Sox, Corvette Summer, and Father to Son are prob my least favorites upon a few weeks in … if we’re doing that.
Green Day’s Saviors debuts at #4 on the Billboard charts with about 52,000 copies sold. my record should be here today!
Unless the numbers are reported in a way that normalizes any variance in lead time, wouldn’t it be unfair to compare 9 months of sales for Blink with 3-4 months of sales for Green Day (I don’t have exact memories for either so guesstimating)?
