I was trying to put together a single-disc version of it recently, and I honestly could not do it. Not enough songs that are even tolerable, IMO.

 

I was on board for Raditude and Hurley (barely), but the SZNZ EPs are basically unlistenable to me

 

SZNZ vs FOAM would be an interesting ranking.

Pretty sure I listened to both about the same number of times. Three-ish

 

White is very close to being there, but I adore Maladroit.

Van Weezer is fun but a little too plastic/shiny/paint by numbers for me. Like a better version of Hurley.

Hell yes Craig. Don't listen to the Weezer nerds. VAN WEEZER is top tier and I wish all their latter era albums were in that vein

Anyways I'm excited to hear the Weezer-ish songs on this, sure to be my faves

I would take FOAM over the SZNZ EPs any day of the week, honestly. But the better comparison is SZNZ to the trilogy, and the trilogy yields a way better single-disc. Advantage: Green Day.

Maladroit is my number 4. Pinkerton is extremely NOT my shit, so that one ranks lower for me.

I get that criticism of Van Weezer, I just think it's so fun in such a wildly stupid way, and that was exactly what I wanted in the summer of 2021.

Van Weezer oddly sounds way more like a Butch Walker album than any of the stuff either of these bands have done that Butch has actually had a hand in.

Nice, I'll give it a go. You do have the same first two songs that I landed on before aborting the experiment.

OK Human is better, but Van Weezer is decidedly more fun to listen to. Gotta be in a mood for OK Human

I heard Sugar Youth on Green Day radio the other day and I didnt hate it and I have the “I don’t wanna be your Romeo” part stuck in my head

OK Human and SZNZ are by far my least favorite Weezer.

I find the Weezer boards unbearable - nobody agrees on anything.

The Trilogy MURDERS SZNZ head to head. Not even close for me. I don't mind the Trilogy at all

I didn't realize there were people who didn't like Pinkerton though.

 

I don't dislike Pinkerton, per se, I just find it to be, uh, a little icky.

 

I get that, I choose to overlook it
