Choosing now to announce AI/Dookie in full draws eyes to their streaming platforms with their brand spanking new album that’s out in two days being right at the top.

Pretty smart move. Tons of Green Day press already this week with all the pushing they’ve been doing.

 

If this is even half as good as the White album, it's a massive improvement on the last record.

 

They’re crushing it on marketing this album. I don’t recall FOAM or Rev Road being this expertly and successfully done. Not sure if that is due to the band not trying to go this hard for those two records, the quality of the music informing the approach/reception from press, or what. I think I remember reading some “Green Day is back” profiles for Rev Road but the roll out seemed less covered in general.

 

Why is nobody talking about how this album sounds like The Killers

Saw that there were some nosebleeds in Milwaukee for $49 including fees. Worth it to be able to see them for the first time and hear American Idiot in full.

 

I guess I shouldn't list my favorite band ranking in this thread

 

Coma City is great? One Eyed Bastard is the only weak spot on this for me.

 

There are bangers on this thing. And a couple Weezer tracks.

Yeah I love Coma City! Tré going nuts at the end is awesome.

 

The title track on this is so damn good.

 

Love this album. On first and second listens today, this is easily my favorite album since American Idiot.

 

Why the fuck aren't they pushing 1981 as a single yet

 

Is that the plan? That’s the other chorus I kinda hate.

 

Yeah, that chorus is a stinker

 

FIDLAR feels a lot closer than Weezer, especially with that heavy chorus

 

You guys are fucking crazy, that chorus is a winner. Sorry. It's not even my favorite on the record, it just screams radio to me.

Goodbye is my clear favorite, but I’d also love to hear Corvette or 20’s get spins. Both late cut gems.
