If you’re a fan of Green Day, you’re going to dig this. I know it sounds like a nothing comment, but this is a culmination of what they sound like across their 30+ career. I had a lot of fun listening to it in a packed record store with strangers.

 

Opposites by Biffy Clyro. I wish it was a triple album.

high Hopes is basically an album of outtakes or a bad B-Sides album. Not cohesive and very mediocre songs for the most part. Very bottom tier Bruce for sure

 

It’s a C-sides album

 

“The Wall” is beautiful and deserves a better album. About all I can say for that record. “41 Shots” is a good song, but it’s so garishly overproduced that the High Hopes version made me like it about 25 percent less.

I'm almost done with my listen-through of everything they've done (which is a fucking lot including side projects and live albums) and I just love this band so much

They'll always be my favorite

"For fans of: Neck Deep" got me good

 

A truly dreadful band.

 

It bummed me out a weird amount how much they seemed non-plused by Tunnel of Love.

Bobby Sox sounded awesome, Coma City is sweet sounding too. I need it to be Friday

 

They seemed kind of underwhelmed at Darkness too. It's been an interesting listen.

 

Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie is my immediate thought

Can't believe they did it the weekend I was on holiday in Serbia, but very excited by the reactions!

 

This is definitely the most excited I've been to hear a new Green Day album in 15 years.
