One Eyed Bastard is a pretty good song, but the main riff sounds so much like So What by P!nk that it's very distracting. It's a shame cause I feel it could be cut off from the song and nothing would be lost. The bada bing bada boom part is undeniably catchy, makes me smile every time.

 

You know Green Day is Back when they're credibly accused of ripping off a hit song.

 

I’ve never heard the Pink so so the riff is fresh for me haha

 

Jesus of Suburbia having the melody for Summer of 69 is still my favorite

Been listening to Green Day radio on Sirius/XM whenever I’m in my car and it’s so much fun. There’s a few too many FOAM/Trilogy songs, but then they’ll play a live cut from like 1993 right after.

 

Definitely going to a Saviors listening party at Bucket O Blood Records in Chicago. Never been to a proper listening party, but I’m excited to half-listen with fellow fans and hopefully get a goodie in a giveaway.

 

Warning and American Idiot still very much top my list of the two best Green Day albums, by far to me.

Made it through 21st Century this morning. Probably the first time I've listened to that album in full in at least 10 years. I didn't like it as much as I remember, however there are still some major bangers on there (East Jesus, Peacemaker, Little Girl, Restless)

On to the Trilogy now. Send help.

I will say the one trilogy song that I heard on Green Day radio that has stayed in my head is Stay The Night.

 

I think the two previous songs being so good made me be too nice to Bastard. I've settled on it sucking.

 

That is the best trilogy song easily

 

It's been 10+ years since I've listened to the Trilogy. I bought all three at a Buybacks for super cheap.

I remember thinking Amy was one of my favorite Green Day songs ever. I think I also recall thinking that there was maybe enough decent material from Uno/Dos to make 1 OK album out of and I don't think I remember liking anything off Tre.

I do like X-Kid as well. Amy is ok, I appreciate the sentiment more than the song itself.

 

Rusty James is pretty great, if too long

 

I really enjoy Sweet 16, I think it's a nice love song that could have fit on Warning

 

Tre has some great songs.
