Billie is starting up a new sideproject called The Longshot. Not a whole lot of info available but there's an Instagram, I think it's private though. Clip of a song here:

Not sure if anybody else from the band is in it except for Billie and definitely Jeff Matika

 

So many projects I can't keep track! The whole band was also playing covers sets recently as another band name

 

Really? That's cool, haven't heard that. Hopefully they bring back The Network in 2020 and do some really weird, experimental shit

I've seen all kinds of rumors and theories about The Longshot, ranging from it being a Billie Joe solo project to the Coverups (Billie, Mike, Jason White, Bill Schneider, and the drummer who I am currently forgetting since it's not Tre) under a different name, to literally being a hidden Green Day album.

I think it's definitely one of the first two options. The private Instagram account posted some pictures of a tracklist and it has Devil's Kind and Body Bag, which are songs Billie wrote for the movie Ordinary World

No idea what to think but very excited, I love all of their side projects. Pinhead Gunpowder is super underrated and I fucking love both Foxboro Hot Tubs and The Network
